The World Computer Congress 2019 was held in Changsha between September 9 and 11. It is hosted by the Hunan Provincial People’s Government and the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The Congress was to promote a sound and rapid development of China’s IT industry. Chinese and foreign experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs discussed the IT industry’s ecology, future development, network security, human-machine connections, AI algorithm, and state-of-the-art computation mode.
There were seventy-nine keynote speakers including senior managers of more than 30 Chinese companies, such as Huawei, Lenovo, and the China Electronics Corporation (CEC), and, nearly 20 foreign companies such as IBM, Microsoft, and SAP; 12 Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) and Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) academicians, including Yang Xuejun, Li Guojie, and Ni Guangnan; and, Finn E. Kydland and dozens of other foreign experts. More than 90 companies will exhibit.
Principal, Dr. Young-Dall Lee was also invited to present the “Business Ecosystem on the Era of 5G”. For the participants, he gave insights into the structure of the business ecosystem in the 5G era.
He highlighted that “Speed”, as a value proposition of the business, is being faster and smarter, which leads to the “Emergence of Immediate-Responsive Business Models”. It can be applied to the Media & Entertainment, Finance, Mobility, Healthcare, Education, and Defense / Security industries.
